PasarBella- A Farmers' Market

Headed back to school today for lesson. I know, like Finally! But that was the first local lecture for that particular module. However, for my other module, I won't be seeing my lecturer till next month. Oops! Does that spell out how much I had been missing school? Till the extent I have no idea how he look like till I hand in my assignment? Anyway, its real tiring to pull myself up at 10+am, to prepare myself and after which I ran to catch my bus (all thanks to the bus app).

Sat in for 3 hours class and I headed off to meet up with Kai Lin after that. Its been such a long time since we headed out together! PasarBella at turf club was our pick to have our lunch at.

Organic products

Fresh oyster where you can order and eat straight away. But a pity, I'm not an oyster person

Beautiful flowers (fresh&artificial) which I was so tempted to grab them home. But they are so expensive! Its cost $20+ for a small bunch of artificial flowers

Wanted to get the plates too! But again too expensive!

Handmade postcards

Wide varieties of balloons

After walking 1 round, we finally settled on a stall for lunch

Mac & cheese, fries, a cup of passionfruit black tea. The above cost around $22.

And a tired looking me as I didn't manage to get enough/good sleep

And my date :)

And to finish our meal, we ended it off with a sweet note; sharing a cup of lychee martini ice-cream :)

Till the next visit. There are still a number of stalls that are empty as the place were taken over by a new team of management recently. Definitely a nice place to chill but getting in there might be a chore unless you drive as its located rather deep in. Or you could choose to take their shuttle bus located at newton, botantic garden or toa payoh mrt station. But we chose to head in by cab. Its much hassle-free. Plus both of us stay rather nearby.

Sinking to rise no more, searching for that open door"

August ninth

Right now, I ought to get my bag packed and bid goodbye to Singapore in a few hours time. As usual, I would be too excited for bed. I always love a staycation or a getaway. A getaway would be nice as the last time I traveled were a year ago. Its a near visit but judging for the price paid (due to peak period), we could travel to BKK (3D2N,4D3N etc). If only I could foresee the unforeseen. I would rather stay longer and travel further, to BKK, HKG or TWN or wheresoever by plane.

Daydreaming, I would call myself. I should have knew such things were too good to be true. To think I went ecstatic over the getaway with my company, but it all turns out to be a false hope. Yes, I am disappointed and upset. It will be real soon where I would step into the workforce (it could be right after I graduate in November or next year). I would no longer be as free as I am of now, I would not have the control of my time thus I see this year as the perfect year to travel at ease without fretting about the pile of works I might face when I returned back to work and planning/coordinating leaves with each other. Indeed, I could travel anytime as of now with any of my friends but the company I want to escape with arent with them. They are not substitutable. Its just different.

Its not that I am not over this incident nor am I petty to keep brooding about it. But its the thought of the date today for which I ought to packed my bag and get myself ready to leave this little red dot. It turned out to be a fact that I long got over this incident (in less than a week when the bad news was broke to me). Its weird. Could anyone be as calm and be as cool about it so easily? Hm... But, I do trust and I believe.

Thoughts

"Feeling my way through the darkness, guided by a beating heart
I can't tell where the journey will end
I wish that I could stay forever this young, not afraid to close my eyes
Life's a game made for everyone
And love is a prize"

Chui Xiang Kitchen

Thinking of where to dine at around my areas can be a chore. Reason? The food choices are kind of restricted. If you do not want a chillax night life area, Holland V might not be for you. If you don't want the usual food that we had, Queensway, ABC food centre area are out too. Ya, you might say, why not Jcube, Jems area? Firstly, they are crowded during dinner timing. Secondly, its tough to find a parking lot.

Thus, the person who are foreign to our area, suggested dining at Chui Xiang Kitchen which is located just by the road of Commonwealth, Queenstown area.

The one in green which is KQ (someone who resides in the North) brought us there

Cabbage chicken

Salted egg yolk prawns

Sambal kangkong

Marmite pork ribs

Black pepper tofu? Haha, I can't remember the name for this dish anymore. This post is actually weeks late!

On the whole, the food weren't too bad. If i'm not wrong, its rather affordable too. For a group of 5, I think one merely contributed around $20 each.

And just a random quote to end this post. I guess I have deep thoughts for which few knows.
