2XU Compression Run

I headed over to Julia's place at around 11+pm last night as she stays rather near to the start-off point of the marathon. As usual, I couldn't fall asleep till 3+am. Took an hour nap and woke up at 415am to get ourselves ready. Julia's parents dropped us at the location and we just have to walk a kilometer to the starting point.

We reached the starting point at around 520am

And look at the insane queue. We were positioned at the third and last wave though we aren't late. The marathon starts at 530am by the way.

Its kind of confusing for runners in this marathon as roads aren't separate properly. There aren't cones or chains seen. And we almost went to the 2nd loop initally when we haven't even finished our 1st. Lucky for us, we realised that. Photo above taken when we are proceeding our 2nd loop. That's like about 9 clicks done.

For this race, we ran quite a fair bits along the drains, parks etc

And around 13km, there isn't anymore pocardi sweat left. What they could give us are bananas at this 'water point'. To continue,  the following water points, they simply poured all the water into large container and used their bare hands to scoop the water using the cups they held with. Guess its just me. I dared not take in any fluids from then on.

Beautiful scenery

Couldn't help but to salute this guy

Something different from my other marathons, they gave us cold towel upon our arrival at the finishing line.

And we did it! We survived through the half marathon!! :)

Alliance with Singapore Cancer Society. Giving our support for patients by writing notes on metal plates to give them HOPE.

Looking at the above map, I think its pure insane. But I'm glad we pulled it through.

I think I could sleep well tonight. I'm exhausted from the past days. Its really quite easy to tell if I'm tired. I would be like a walking zombie; expression-less, blank and most importantly, I can't process any words that were directed/spoken to me. Terrible, aren't I?

Ippudo & TWG

Most of my friends said that I'm hardly on time. But that's Not very true. There are reasons why I never like to be on time as I hate to wait. I once waited for someone for nearly an hour? That's really sucks! And even if I'm never on time (as what they said), I would never be later than half an hour of the prescribed time. To continue, I think little would know that I could be on Time on dates I value. Perhaps I can't wait to meet my date or wouldn't want my date to wait for me. But yea, I could be on Time, if I want to.

I finally tried Ippudo ramen at Mandarin Gallery for which most have been raving about. I heard the the queues are pretty insane during dinner hours thus I chose to head over during lunch time. And there's No queue at all which was awesome! I simply hate queuing for food. I once queued nearly an hour for Nando's when it first opened in Singapore. Just insane! But that's because my friends wanted to try that and I played along with them. But from then on, I told myself that never am I gonna queue for something thats more than 15 minutes. Enough of rantings, anyway, here are some of the snapshots.

Beautiful chandeliers

Shiromaru Tamogo

I think Ippudo ramen is pretty average in my opinion. Thus, it seems a little over-rated to me. Not the best I have tried and its rather pricey too!

Initial OOTD before I

Ditched my top

Adore this dress that my mum got for me from Zara. She hardly gets me any clothing as I ages thus this dress came as a surprise for me.

That day was simply Not my day! All the things I wanted to get is either not in stock or it just doesn't fits. I headed home empty-handed. And my friend blurted out to me that my parents would be happy about it. I was like URH? And what was continued was: Because you didn't splurge anything for the day. How awesome is my friend urh.

An example, wanted to get this pants from Topshop but its...

Too big on me! The pants supposed to be high-waisted and not rest on my hips. Thus my legs look awfully short on the first photo.

After which, we headed over to TWG for a short afternoon tea before we proceeded to meet my polymates for dinner. Its a crazy feasting day for me as my meals in between was in really short duration.

Chose London high tea as my choice and i really love their macrons! The rose infused tea one in Pink especially. Totally makes my day! A pity I was heading for dinner shortly thus I could not have the afternoon tea set.

I have this crazy weekends ahead which I think I could literally drop dead after Sunday. Gawd! I'm gonna have so little sleep. Seriously, I hope I could just survived through everything. Talking about sleep, I hardly takes afternoon nap unless I'm really tired. Normally, I won't necessary takes one unless I have not enough sleep the previous days or I have nothing to do at home. And what happened if I do takes one? It just get harder for me to fall asleep on that night. Thats the reason why I do envy those who could fell asleep like almost instantly when they laid on their bed. It Never do happens to me unless on the very rare occasion I'm that Tired. Seriously, I do hope that there's something I could do about it to help my sleeping patterns?

Mum's birthday

Supposed to post this entry last week as 19th was my mum's birthday. Anyway, putting aside the usual Chinese cuisine, i brought my parents over to Bornga at Star Vista for lunch. My mum had been telling me that she wanted to try Korean cuisine for the longest thus we decided to settle that for our lunch on her birthday.

We ordered 2 portions of pork belly, kimchi stew and seafood pancakes. And that's a lil too much for 3 considering the extensive amount of sides Bornga provides us with.

Mum and she tried her best to smile for the camera despite putting on her stern face most of the times

Mango yogurt birthday cake from -18°C which actually tastes really good

Wishing her the best of health and be in bliss always!

One of the rare days whereby my sis told me that she wanna to take a picture with me. She's not like this most of the times as she always complains about... (haha, shan't spill out the reason)

I've been missing quite a bit from last week as I was kinda busy. And thus I've collated a number of pictures during that period. Shall have them posted real soon on my space. And gawd! My semester is ending soon?! Like less than a couple of weeks time. That means EXAM is approaching! Now I'm wondering if I should drop that extra module I took. Un-decisive as usual! Shall give some serious thoughts about it. Till then.

And I need you to trust, the love between us"

Lunch with Uni-mates

Each time my class ends early, my classmates and I will always make it a point to have lunch together. Guess part of the reasons is that we are bored of school food as SIM has merely just 2 canteens of food to choose from. And if i would to dine in school, i would always have ban mian for my meal. Its not because it tastes good, but it tastes just average to me as compared to other food choices.

Lunch at Hatched:

My huge portion of Portobello beef burger. Just too much for one

To sum up, I guess at Hatched its best stick to what they are known of: Egg benedicts. Though the above food looks really appealing but its actually pretty much average. For my fries, I feel like I'm eating air instead of potato.

Lunch at Sushi Tei:

Starter: Salmon salad to share

Udon with fried prawn tempura and Cha soba

Tonkatsu curry

My udon with fried prawn and veggie tempura

Finally, I could say I'm done with my assignments. Gawd! I'm totally drained out especially these past couple of weeks. The first thing I would do when i wake up is to open my lappy and work on assignment, came back from lunch, work on my assignment, after dinner, work on my assignment, before I turn in, work on assignment. That's basically my daily routine. Time, effort, attention all give to these darling school works of mine. I'm in desperate need of chill-out sessions. And right now, I can't wait for the weekends to approach :)
