Julia's birthday party

Attended my dear friend birthday party over the weekend. It was held at her place- Citylights @ Lavender. Beautiful place to reside in. Though the weather wasn't really that fabulous, but in all everything turned out well.

Thanks girl for being such a good host, we really enjoyed ourselves! More 'Ancients' gathering to come, definitely.

Its funny how sometimes we miss somebody but when somebody shows up, we just do nothing or even act nonchalant to it.

Twitter is the best place to pen down personal thoughts as and when you wish. Most importantly, I'm able to privatise my own settings.

School's in

I guess its the students' mentality. I'm feeling bored of school! If only I could extend my assessment period a lil longer.

My past week

Seems like I'm away from my lappy for far too long. Now, the livejournal format had changed! Kinda annoying though. Anyway, just a summary of my past week.

Monday:

Ended my business law test paper and had lunch buffet with my uni peeps. After which, I met up with Kalin to attend a briefing conducted my Cosmo.

Tuesday:
Met up with my uni mates for dinner. But before that I went to shopping Alone! I seriously spent a bomb just on that day! We had Japanese dinner buffet for dinner and after which we headed over to Yello Jello for a drink.

We had a bottle of Moet and a jug of Long Island.

And we chilled at Mac after which. Pretty much awake though, surprisingly!

Wedensday:
I had the Cosmo event in the morning thus I headed over to the office to get ready!

 

So basically, thats the flash mob event held by the company to advertise the beginning of Cosmopolitan magazine. I didn't knew that it was banned in Singapore previously! What we did on that day were basically reading the magazine at Raffles place and Orchard. No doubt, we did create quite a fair bit of sensation.

 

And I went for more shopping after the event with Sokgin!

That's not the end yet! I headed over to Wala and Breko respectively to meet my poly peeps for drinks.

 

Thursday:
Went to NUH for my dental appointment to get the moulds and X-ray done! My dentist is really rough the pulling and spreading of my mouth cause my lips to feel sore after which. And result of my X-ray- I had wisdom tooth! I didn't knew that and I even tell the person it doesn't hurt (* I was secretly hinting that if i could not extract that!). But he told me extractions are necessary!

Friday:
Went for F1 interview at Concord building. The interview was long and seriously there's lots of unexpected questions that were posed by them. In the first place, I had totally no idea what I'm there for except for. And they keep asking me what I expect of the event? I'm totally speechless on that, seriously!
Met onto a really sweet girl who just came back from Swiss! We hit off really well when we met each other and even volunteered to offer each other the position if they are only looking for one candidate! Haha

 

And yes, I went for more shopping and I had finally settle a gift for my friend! Just hope that its suitable urh!

Saturday:
Went out to help my parents during twilight. That means that I only had gotten myself a couple of hour of rest. Came back home during the early afternoon, took a quick nap and headed over to Holland to celebrate my friends 21st!And we stayed over at teck's place for a game till near 7am!

Sunday:

Finally I rested at home, just as I thought all is good. I fell ill at night.There's this sudden pain on my chest and abdomen. It's so painful that I thought I suffer from appendicitis and that I would die any sooner! No kidding. I was tortured by the pain for 2 hours. It only slightly ceases after I popped in a panadol which took an effect only half and hour later.

Never expect more from any person is able to give you. Most of the times, things happen out of our control.

Funny how we try to move on, and at the same time, hold on. Difference between both? One is easier said than done, the other is easier in performing.

The Surprise

Sometimes you gotta know, not everything will work out the way you wanted. For me, most of the time it doesn't! Regardless of the time or effort placed in to get something done, things just don't appear the way you fantasied it would be.

I started imagining how to plan an event out, even Month ago! How I will appear, the things I would prepare, the things I would do... And after killing millions of my brain cells opting for the best ideas, nothing goes along with what I planned! Things I learnt, to make a surprise workable you gonna know the other party movements! Yes, you need to know the person schedule REALLY WELL as you won't want to pose a questionable query which arouse his suspicion. Or perhaps it depends on the party itself, some are really smart and would guess out the movements you gonna take, Others like me, are plainly dumb. I answer to what is ask and give to what its required.

Initially, I wanted to post something, to give something, to do something Brave, but nothing was fulfill. I just went along with the flow as the clock had already struck twelve, ambiance was humid and the location was quite wrong. I guess things work out better naturally, Un-planned! That could be the best outcome instead.

Short meetup with the girls

Had a small gathering with the girls at Holland V few days back. We had dinner at Everything with Fries and I ordered my usual.

After which, we headed over to Fosters for a drink. Love the ambiance over there and it has becomes my next favourite hide-out other than Daily Scoop and Wala.

Where's the motivation to keep me going?

I think I'm gonna be so dead. My tests are in just less than a week time and I had not touch my lecture notes yet. Worst still, I have not been paying attention to lectures in class! Though I had studied a couple of modules before, but things work differently in uni. Take for example, when I studied contract laws in poly, I just gonna state my stand and support with law cases. Everything is straight to the point. But right now, I have to state 10 law cases per question and cross-referencing is essential! I'm doom! Where's my sense of urgency? I'm still pretty much in holiday mood. Actually I don't see a different for the course I studying against those who did part-time. It's just merely 3 hours of school per day and after which, I could leave school. What's differ is merely that I had more modules than them per semester which require me to be in school every weekday! Other than that, everything work exactly the same!

Woke up really early today to train down to Woodlands with Julia and Sokgin. Still, renovation work at CWP is not done! It seems to take ages to get the mall all done urh.

My main, looks super healthy doesn't it? In fact it is, grilled chicken breast, blanched vegetable with steamed fries? Both of them were laughing when I gorged it down! Julia said it taste like chicken rice! Alright, gonna admit it taste similar to that.


After which, we hopped onto a cab to Mandai.

I prayed so hard that we could find a cab to go back without walking back to the main road. We sure were lucky enough to spot one indeed! Something hilarious happened when we were on the cab. We couldn't decide where to head to, Sokgin suggested town and I said MRT station (I thought we could decide from there) but the cabbie asked us to head to North Point instead. In the end, we went along with the cabbie suggestion since Sokgin and I haven't been there before. And gawd, the North is so boring! North Point is just simply a heartland mall! We spent less than an hour at there and went along the MRT line to Ang Mo Kio Hub after which. Result? Its equally boring!

To my beloved friend

2 years had past! Once again, its National Day. I could vividly remembered receiving a devastating news which woke me up from my sleep. Though the cause of the incident was pretty much unknown, but I certainly hope you are happy up there.

I just wish I knew what it all meant. Right now, I'm beginning to trust my feelings and mind rather than to be blinded by the "facts".

I've been waking up with an un-tamable hair everyday! That's really annoying. Anyway, I suppose that's the true color of my hair under the sunlight? It looks alright right? I even plan to go on a lighter shade of brown the next time ;)
