Happy Birthday Julia

Its my beloved friend of mine birthday today. Not sure when would the ancients meet up as it tough to plan an outing when all three of them (except me) are working. Actually, its not tough if we all clock to work at the normal office hour. But nah, they all aren't. Sok Gin has to see her schedule as she works based on a shift work; morning, afternoon or night. For Kai Lin, she too has to see her schedule to check if she's local. And as for the forever busy Julia, she has too many commitments (hahah).

Photo taken 2 years back on my birthday (I still hasn't got my braces on then) as I can't find any recent photo of just the both of us.

And another one! This was taken 3 years back! Yes, I'm a big light bulb sitting in between the both of them. I can't remember why. I think its because Julia was sitting opposite KQ along with Sok Gin.

So a short update of my life. My sister would be flying off to BKK tomorrow morning till next week. Which means I would have the entire room to myself, in other words, a quieter environment. Haha. And I've been celebrating quite a few birthdays this couple of weeks. Shiyun, Zoe, and upcoming would be Julia. I have 2 assignment which are due in less than 3 weeks time and I haven't get myself started as I do not know how to. Fantastttic!

And I've tried and tried to say what's on my mind
You should have known"

The mental mind

Isn't it ironic that it had been merely days where you have last met up with a particular person but yet it feels like weeks to you? I suppose that is Misses. In which you misses the presence, the touch, the voice, the smell, the attention of a specific one.

However, all those misses are concealed/buried deep within myself as the tougher side of me wanted me to appear nonchalant. The reason is simply because the brain told me that: 'This is the Right thing to do though your body shows otherwise'. Question now, are you going to fight against your brain or are you going to continue to go along with your mental mind? For me, I chose to..... (keep my answer to myself).

Fairfield days

Being 125 years old this year, my secondary school produced a series of videos and it have gone viral on facebook. Just want to share these videos and I think its worth of anyone, be it Fairsian or not to take a look on that.

The school for which I was in for a decade, I'm really proud to be a Fairsian. And I'm sure many are too! The videos below show the reason why we have established such deep-rooted affection to this school of ours. I'm thankful for the wonderful teachers, the awesome school camps (oversea/local) offered, the values taught, great friendships etc. I had spent my worst and best years here and those memories would be deeply cherished.

And its really nice to see familiar faces though many teachers/staffs had left Fairfield.

Remembering Chapel services for which we attended in a weekly basis. Its funny how we find it a torture in the past to attend the 1 hour service and now most of us misses it!

Secondary 1. Try to spot me if you can! Haha

Secondary 2, photo taken after Desaru camp

Secondary 3, pictures taken with my clique. Don't judge us please! I know we looked ridiculous

Last year in school, pictures taken on Racial Harmony day. Can't believe we are that ON. Each of us actually found our own way to borrow those ethics costume

Fairfield goes broadway. Our so called 'prom' as we were the unlucky batch whose prom were held in our school hall

And thats is all! Am truly blessed, thats all I can conclude throughout my days in Fairfield!

Birthday dinner at Privé Grill

Backtracked this post to a few weeks earlier. I made a reservation at Privé Grill located at Keppel bay to celebrate the dude birthday. We were rather late for our dinner as we couldn't get a cab in the city even through attempts were made to book a cab. Nowadays, doesn't it appears that the cabbies are choosing their customers rather than we customers are choosing them? So many cabbies refused to pick us up on that day as they claim its 'off their area' or they are changing shift at around 7+pm?

Some chips thingy

Assorted warm breads and onion soup

My main: Kurobota pork

His main: Savannah Angus Ribeye

 Basil crepes with banana

A complimentary cheesecake given by the restaurant

And a card too with pretty handwritting!

Plus a complimentary slice of banana walnut cake to take home

The total bill for the night, we ordered half a bottle of white wine and a pint of erdinger too. I think its pretty worthwhile as the quality of food and the ambiance are awesome. And the staffs are equip with fantastic services too!

Pardon me for spamming my selfies as I hardly dress up this much. Plus I hardly wear heels as most of my friends would made a complain to me on that if I would to wear that out with them. Now, I'm trying to train myself walking on them as I would need them when I step into the workforce. Definitely a good work out for us girls as it takes merely 10 minutes of brisk-walking to make me perspire! But stepping on heels do help us make/improve our posture to look nicer, thus more confident. Thats the reason why they said we girls 爱美不要命. Haha, true fact.

Loving my clear heels from Jeffrey Campbell

PasarBella- A Farmers' Market

Headed back to school today for lesson. I know, like Finally! But that was the first local lecture for that particular module. However, for my other module, I won't be seeing my lecturer till next month. Oops! Does that spell out how much I had been missing school? Till the extent I have no idea how he look like till I hand in my assignment? Anyway, its real tiring to pull myself up at 10+am, to prepare myself and after which I ran to catch my bus (all thanks to the bus app).

Sat in for 3 hours class and I headed off to meet up with Kai Lin after that. Its been such a long time since we headed out together! PasarBella at turf club was our pick to have our lunch at.

Organic products

Fresh oyster where you can order and eat straight away. But a pity, I'm not an oyster person

Beautiful flowers (fresh&artificial) which I was so tempted to grab them home. But they are so expensive! Its cost $20+ for a small bunch of artificial flowers

Wanted to get the plates too! But again too expensive!

Handmade postcards

Wide varieties of balloons

After walking 1 round, we finally settled on a stall for lunch

Mac & cheese, fries, a cup of passionfruit black tea. The above cost around $22.

And a tired looking me as I didn't manage to get enough/good sleep

And my date :)

And to finish our meal, we ended it off with a sweet note; sharing a cup of lychee martini ice-cream :)

Till the next visit. There are still a number of stalls that are empty as the place were taken over by a new team of management recently. Definitely a nice place to chill but getting in there might be a chore unless you drive as its located rather deep in. Or you could choose to take their shuttle bus located at newton, botantic garden or toa payoh mrt station. But we chose to head in by cab. Its much hassle-free. Plus both of us stay rather nearby.
