U run 2013

Sometimes, I do overestimate myself. I had to get myself ready and leave my place at 550am to catch the first train but I set my alarm at 540 thinking I could brush my teeth, wash up, change and put on my gears within that 10 minutes. In actual facts, I need more than 20 minutes to do all these! Anyway, I woke up early today for my first marathon of 2013.

We were early so we started the race rather on time this time round.

Waiting for flag off

And we started the race at 7am

Unlike the previous few runs that I had done, U run separates the route by using cones. Doesn't that means that runners could simply cross over the other route easily? But I seriously doubt anyone would do that.

Pay attention to this 'short' NTUC building

Cause my race did not end after I finishes 10km

I took part in the Run+Climb race. This mean that I have to climb 30 storeys worth of stairs before I could call an end to my race.

And we made it! To the top of the building! Climbing stairs is actually more tedious than running. Theres lots of runners that actually stop halfway and sit on the stairs. I myself nearly wanted to stop and take a break too. But I gritted my teeth and hang in to the Top. Yay!

Seriously messy hair. But I think one just couldn't be bothered that much in a run. Running is a state where one is most unglam in my opinion; perspire profusely, messy hair, wiping off sweats with own shirt, cleaning off mucus with shirt, spitting out phlegm, adjusting bra or shorts openly etc. Sorry for being gross but these are just some of the things I witnessed. But hey! Whatever. We run to meet our own expectation of our self, push our own limit, charity, not to look glamorous.

Clique and our third race together

From this map, I assume the climb is about 2km.

And cheers to my running companion for all 3 races. We stick, rest, joke together in all races and that makes our race indifferent; entertaining I would say.

Year of Snake

Every new year is a routine; gathering, gambling and feasting. I think this might be the reason why I'm taking lesser and lesser photos each year. Or is it a sign of getting Old? On CNY eve, my entire family headed over to my uncle's place to have reunion dinner. Speaking of which, I hated the fact that its really tough to book a cab during festive season. There's actually no cab available for me during late afternoon timing. Isn't that annoying especially when you are in the rush? Agrh! That's the reason why I think its good to have a driving license. And I'm a lazzzy person! If a trip consist of more than half an hour of my time, I would most likely not head over there. Unless I'm driven over! Just the thought of heading to and fro is tiring enough for Me!

CNY Eve:

 Lou-Hei

Reunion dinner. In particular, I have been having fish maw & sea cucumber soup, curry chicken for the past 4 days that I'm sick of it.

Children entertainment. And cards no longer interest me anymore thus I didn't join in.

Hyper active niece. She can't stop jumping on me when she's on my lap. Ouch!

Drayden!

CNY Day 1:

My grandma is staying with us, which explain why we had to get loads of CNY goodies. There were more during the last couple of years, but we cut down on the goods as there are always lots of leftover. Mostly, we bought snacks to 'con' the little nephews and nieces. Haha.

I think we squeezed in close to 40 people!

Little corner for the kids.

Jovan with his very own lion head!

Jose and baby Kieve

In Coral

Headed over to maternal granny's place. Same old routine again. Mahjong, cards and later during the night, my cousin drove me over to my another cousin place to continue our night. I only headed to bed at 6am the next day. Ultimate shagged!

CNY Day 2:

Picture at 2am, which explain the really bad lighting.

And the really flat hair. Was awaken at 12+ am by my cousin asking me to head over to my grandma place again. I merely had 6 hours of sleep then. Another round of game at my grandma's place and after which, we headed over to the East to have dinner, then Beach Carbana to have a little drink and lastly, Tiong to catch a movie. We actually have plan after our movie at 2am but I was really dead tired thus requested to head home instead.

And that concludes my CNY. Pretty much the same, nothing interesting. Except for One fact that my older cousins have been asking me when will I stop getting Ang-pows from them? Hey, I'm still studying, pretty much not within the next 3 years for sure. And this strikes me Real Hard. Aging! Hated the matter of facts on how fast time flies ever since I hit 21!

All that's left is a ghost of you, now we're torn, torn, torn apart, there's nothing we can do"

Baking

Because both Kristal and I were too free, we chose a date and decided to do a lil baking. Kristal got the ingredients the day before, and I just bring along myself to her place. Thanks Kris! :) I'm pretty much an amateur in baking, I do more of cooking even though its Not a lot! Okay, this sounds weird. I'm just contradicting myself and others. Oh well.

Koko! She's so adorable. Just look at her pointed ears! Koko is the most well-behaved dog I ever interact with! And its really easy to make Koko Likes me as I caught her soft spot for food. Bribery I would call myself. Haha.

Bak Kwa cupcakes mixture

And Bak Kwa Cookies dough!

In a pretty shade of brown. Plus it taste quite good in my opinion. I'm glad Kris's has a good foresight. We added 1 and half cup of sugar instead of 2. And I think the sweetness level is just nice. Personally, I'm not someone who has a sweet tooth.

Things I packed home! Plus a box of cereal Kris got for me from her flying trip :)

After 5 weeks, my Red colored hair finally weared off. Its kind of annoying but I'm glad it lasted more than a month. A friend of mine told me that he dyed his hair red, and in just few days, the color faded. I'm thinking of getting my hair bleached the next time round to achieve a color I always wanted to try. But my hair would be really damaged then. Right now, I'm doing my very best to nourish my hair so that its suitable to undergone the chemical damage. Hopefully, its working!
