Girls night out

Met up with the lovelies and the catching-up session was great, as usual. Among all the conversations we had discussed, it makes me realised how blessed we are. With the kins around us and able to live healthily, what more can we ask for? Surely, we had aged. Topics like this didn't struck on us when we were in our teens. But the fact: Life is vulnerable. We just won't know what lies ahead for us to conquer, how our fate would be twisted.

Still, I'm left with a couple of weeks of holidays. I had been rotting for the past month and surely I'm gonna make the rest of my break more 'worthy'.

Stuck on you

I've been losing my sleep and I seriously envied those who can fell into deep sleep once they hit their bed. Sadly, I'm definitely not the one unless I'm really tired. Hm... that makes me recalled the days back teaching in Woodgrove which was just last year. Waking up at 530am every weekday is no kidding matter. I vividly remembered that I got to leave my place no later than 615 so as to catch the first train from Dover to Jurong East. And the transport I took to get myself is simply insane (bus>Dover MRT>Switches train at Jurong East>Woodland MRT>bus). Come to think of that, I salute myself for that. Though I'm frequently late for work during the first couple of months but I gave myself self-disciplined and be punctual for work after which.

If there's no activity for me, I could simply fell asleep on my bed when I reaches back home (after bathing, of course! The kitchen reeks on strong buttery smell and it always left a stench on my clothing!). I think I didnt have much difficulty falling asleep even after I took my nap earlier on. And if I went out to meet my friends after class, I could immediately head to my dreamland. That's just simply awesome!

For me, I definitely cant afford to take afternoon nap. That will for sure make me toss about my bed for hours! It's weird I'm blogging about my sleeping pattern isn't it? But I found out that my thoughts are always preoccupied when I'm in bed. Could the cause be due to the sleepless night or could it be simply because I'm un-riddling stuffs(?) I'm unsure of that myself. Could I be seeking explanation of the actions or behaviours of those I never had a chance to ask or get a direct answer? Those thoughts are simply just hallucination that I gave myself e.g What if I did this this this and that... Stuffs I plan to do after critical thinking... It appears to be dumb, I know! I will try to pull myself back as much as I could. They say to "forget  you need to rely on an appearance of another 'stranger' "and "its better to leave then to be the one that got left behind"? True? Perhaps it is.

Cos when a heart breaks no it don't break even

I'm truly blessed and thank god for that. Seriously, I'm encountering this emotion for the first time ever. I had even made plan if I were not able to clear that stage. But hey, I could only count myself lucky, thats what I would conclude.

You can't lose what you never had, keep what's not yours or hold onto something that doesn't want to stay. Even though, it 's hard to wait around for something that won't happen but its even harder to stop waiting when you know it's all you had desire. To sum up, if it isn't given freely by another person, its not worth having as its never meant to be yours.

Day 3 of Bali

On Day 3, we woke up at about 9am to get ourselves ready. Both of us absolutely adore our lodging minus the wi-fi system and the appearance of lizards. But at least it help us eat up all the mosquitoes? ( Thats what my crappy friend told me!) Haha

Anyway, the staff prepared a customised breakfast for us. Yeap, we were asked to choose of what we wanted the previous day.

My hearty American breakfast: Scrambled egg with potato, orange juice, mango yogurt, cereal with milk, croissants, hot chocolate and fruits. Do they seriously think I could finish all those? Its simply insane!

After which, we checked out of the room and headed over to Kuta as promised of the sales guy to pay the event a visit (girls on surfing).

The beach looks bare here. But trust me, its seriously crowded, full of Caucasians and not forgetting peddlers who are lurking about targeting on us- tourists. We bought 2 mats for RP 80,000 and I misplaced it. Lol!

Sadly, i didnt really get the tan that I wanted. I wanted to tan myself but I'm afraid of getting sun burnt. In the end, I only got for myself a minimal tan shade. Haha, won't be oblivious unless you really observe my skin.
After sun-bathing, we headed over to Kuta street for shopping. I could save myself with quite a sum of money if I wasn't 'conned' by the peddlers when I was packing to leave the beach.

Do those accessories look like they cost SGD $90? I'd been conned definitely, too gullible I would say. But those ladies seem poor thing. Gawd! I definitely need someone who are good in maths beside me to advise on the cost. Rupiah is too big a currency to convert. Turquoise bracelet and band for my sis. And male accessories for whoever I happened to meet up with. Haha.

Above clothing were bought along Kuta street as well. Orange dress for mum, singlet for S and bro.

My buy at Seminyak street. Theres really lots of nice boutiques located over there but could be pretty pricey too!

After which, we went for cheap classic manicure and pedicure. They only cost SGD $12.50 for both. And my manicurist actually slit my finger. I sweared it was really painful. Its better to have nails done by professionals i guess? O, and guess what? Both of them are 22 years old and have kids? Totally can't imagine myself in their shoes, I'm turning 22 soon too urh!

And yea, thats our second meal of the day. We didn't have enough time to drop by for lunch as we were busy shopping!
When we get our nails all done, we realised that we had to rush to the airport. Thus, we picked up our baggage from our villa and headed straight to the airport. I had problem checking in and I'm not gonna elaborate on it. I'm so pissed off by it where I actually argued with the officer! Hahaha, okay not exactly argued but reasoned!

And adding to new collection. Something I could share with others.

Overall, Bali is a pretty nice place to let your hair down. The people there are friendly just that you have to be on guard and not let them to take advantage on you for some. I changed for myself about close to SGD $400 and I finished using everything. I'm just superb (:

Day 2 of Bali

By the time we had bathed ourselves its already near 1am. And the bad thing was that our driver would be picking us up at our villa at 3am. Does power nap works this time round? Nah... We ended us playing with our phone connecting to Wi-Fi. But connection was really bad even though it worked half of the time for me. Anyway, we went to the lobby and used the computer for a while.

Not long after, our phone rang and we were still stuck resting on bed, totally unprepared. Boarded on our vehicle and started our day trip. First thing up was to head over to Lavina. The journey costs us 2 hours and whats worst was the never ending turns at the mountain. I almost died through the journey.

Catching the beautiful sunrise.

Totally breath-taking!

Any idea why we were here for?

Thats dolphins if you ever wonder. They only showed their backs and hardly surface out of the water. At Lavina, Dolphins seem like mice and those boats are cats. We are just simply playing the role of chasing whenever trails of dolphins are found.

And i survived the road and boat trip through those pills. Yes, I have motion sickness and I had a tough time getting on a mere 2 hours never stop turning car ride (I forgotten to pop in the pill). But I was feeling much better after popping the pills in (: Hurray!
After which, our driver drove us to Banjar for hotspring. We wanted to go to Batur but Bagus, our driver (of goodwill) drove and convince us to Banjar as it was nearer to where we were.

The entry fee is pretty cheap. Less than SGD $1. But does Mr Bagus seriously think that we will dip into the hot spring with the local people?

We just snapped a couple of pictures. And in less than 10 minutes we were out of the hot spring.
We actually slept on the car after which. Thats just prove how tired we were! Its definitely not easy for me to fall asleep in public and if I do, that just mean that I'm really Tired? Haha

And we dined over at a restaurant at Mt Batur after which.

Picturesque view! Love the weather on the mountain top. Its cooling (:
Slept through after which again and the next moment we woke up we were at coffee farm. We had no intention in visiting that at all but since Bagus drove us there, we went to take a quick tour on that.

Little creatures that feed on coffee beans. And this guy would have fairly good prospective of becoming a sweet talker. Anyway, he was preparing coffee and tea for us.

Headed back to the hotel close to 4pm and took a couple of hours nap before we headed out for dinner. Its free and easy for us and we just hopped onto a cab and went to a random shopping mall.

Had A&W. And gawd, I hardly do have any impression of dining it in local.

This ripcurl shop is really huge!

We were given this poster by a really nice sale guy who was even willing to teach us surfing for free if we are keen to. And he said we could find him during our next visit to Bali! Hahaha, if only I knew how to swim.

Catching a movie before heading back to our dreamland. And we were on a slipper fight, if you wonder.

My buy for day 1: Necklace as a gift, ginger tea, bikini top, blue sarong like translucent cloth and a ripcurl slipper!
