Selfish gene & Restore

Duxton hill and Craig road is kind of complex. As usual, we were kind of lost as we ventured our way to the cafe last week. Selfish gene this time round and guess why is there such name to the cafe? Its because the cafe unlike most, you are required to be self-service. You have to pour your own water, get your own side plate, sauce whatsoever. But food wise, they will serve it to your table.

The breakfast is pretty decent, would definitely head back there for this!

I was really tired on that day. KL even commented that my eyes were literally closing when I was talking to her!

Saw an interesting poster when we came out of the cafe.

And we headed over to the next location for waffles; Restore. The chairs hanging on the ledge were actually up for sale; old vintage chairs which they re-furnish and that explain the name of the cafe.

Chocolate banana waffles.

Went over to Julia's party on Saturday. It was actually pot-luck basis and my first intention was to make strawberry cheesecake but I wasn't feeling too well during that few days thus Bacon salad was what I brought along.

Glad that my salads were all gone before the party ended :)

The clique

I don't really fancy full face make-up. During most of the days, I will just put on simple eye make-up, dab on some concealer and I'm good to go. Really dislike the feeling of clogging my pores with powder for long hours. Work tomorrow better be good, I had no idea why physical appearance is so important in this assignment. Busy busy days to come.

Meet Buddy!

A hyper active 12 years old dog. I could say not many of his age are that energetic and hyper! Buddy is really adorable! I'm someone who had a phobia of dogs due to a childhood experience, but Buddy is the first dog I mingled to that much! His energy level definitely outbeat me for sure and I'm sure everyone would ♥ Buddy as much as I do.

All pictures of Buddy are adorable! But I personally love the last snapshot the Best. He's actually waiting for me to play throw and fetch with him!

Its been ages since I last plug in to my earpiece. But I can't help but keep browsing through a video in my phone. Though its not dedicated to me, but I feel an unknown sweetness when viewing it. It's just un-explainable and I simply adore it! :) ♥♥♥

If one day, someone would dedicate a song to me, that would be utmost love! Maybe its easier to continue dreaming? Haha.
Perhaps happiness is a simple matter. It's not about monetary or quantity time (though it might be great if both are comprises in it), its just the person who are involve in it. But have you wonder how much you trust your intuition? That feelings of the other party is no longer the same and that there might be another involving party? Living in a stage of denial for fear to face the truth, thats a coward move but it also the best way to avoid getting hurt. Agree?

Facejacked

Been facejacked for the past few days. Thanks to my 'awesome friends' who love taking unglam pictures of me. Its strange, both of my friends didn't knew each other but their captions are around the same. Of similar meaning, stating that I'm hungry for food?! Evil them! Maybe I do look hungry to them!

Made peace with Joel before the night ends. We were actually spamming each other unglam pictures! Kind of childish but those pictures he took are really hideous! And till now, he still didn't removed them from wall.

I'm starting to realise that my smile look kind of weird/fake as my teeth are shifting?! Or am I getting too paranoiac? But it really does, to me!

"Just so you know this feeling taking control
Of me and I can't help it"

Group Therapy & Flor Patisseries

Duxton Hill are filled with hidden treasures (foodies, I mean). The search for the restaurant is pretty simple for now as Kai has already mastered the art of reading google maps! Haha, I've yet to! But for me, you just got to bring me to the place once, I would be familarise with the route to the destination (the only thing I got to exclude is asking me for direction when driving; I have no idea how to differentiate route name, expressway etc).

Cozy environment at Group Therapy cafe.

Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon

And after our lunch, we headed over to Flor Patisseries which is nearby for cakes. I actually wanted to get a birthday cake from here a couple of weeks back but Flor was kind of far away from the train station thus I got the birthday cake from Pâtisserie Glacé at Icon village instead.

Berry Berries

Can you see the gap between my teeth? Its pretty unsightly as the dentist are closing the gap for my front few tooth. And something random to share. Whenever someone asks me what day is today, I always have to pause a while to think. The reason? Everyday seems like Sunday to me! Yea, by saying that my friends would get really irritated. But seriously, I'm giving credits to RMIT for that. They didn't manage to plan my timetable well enough.

Weekends

Early class is so draining. I was falling asleep on my bed earlier on at 8+pm but I forcefully pulled myself to stay awake. I wouldn't want to find myself waking up in the middle of night not being able to fall asleep.
I have no idea is it because the people you are mixing or familiar with are stepping into the industry, it just seem rather easy to bump into familiar faces within CBD area; Tanjong Pagar area to be exact. I'm still feeling hyped up about the coincidental 'meet up'. The truth is that I was feeling more of shocked than to be able to react. The encounter is kind of ironic. We didn't even open our mouths at all to capture each other attention! Our eyes just met each other. My sentence structures are weird. But I think most should get my point.

Last Friday:

Dinner at Oriole Cafe & Bar.

Last Saturday:

Baby Kieve baby's shower. I actually lead the wrong direction to Bt Batok clubhouse, I thought it was the one located at Home Team NS. Failed!

Drayden!

My niece and nephews! And I've actually have more than 10 nieces and nephews. I'm no longer young, I know!

Headed over to Wala to meet my secondary school mates afterwhich.

And Joel was rather tipsy when I reached! He even mentioned that he doesn't have a clear vision of my face!

The guys have craving for Koka spicy noodles thus we headed over to Bt Panjang for that! The stall only opens at 2am by the way.

Last Sunday:

Dinner with family at Master Crab Seafood Restaurant

Didn't know why, but 'Still' kept playing on repeat on my mind. It makes me remember of the days back in Fairfield's Chapel Service.

Bangkok trip

Decided to compress all my BKK into a post. Its been a great 5D4N with Sokgin. Stayed at a boutique hotel which is near Platinum mall (awesome)! I spent half the cash I bought there at Plantinum mall during my first day there! I really have a weak spot for clothing (though some of which I merely wore it once!).

Anyway, here are those pictures

Beautiful fluffy clouds

My first budget flight experience wasn't too bad. If there is one thing i would pick, that would be the flight is really boring without the TV screen!

When we reaches Thailand, its already night time thus we didn't manage to explore around.

Pulling myself up for breakfast

Its a buffet breakfast with almost the same dishes each day! Can't complain much too, at least they provide breakfast!

 Early shopping at Plantinum mall

I think the bags on the floor are just half of what each of us carried! I never carried so many bags on my own!

Quick lunch

Our buys of the day and if you paid close attention, there are bags of unopen clothing at a side!

Dinner at a roadside stall! Was pretty hesitance to dine there initially but okay, there's always a First time and I'm glad it taste good.

Day 3 in BKK

And we took a BTS to Jatujak

Trying out yet another local delight, beef meatballs! And I love the coconut ice-cream for which I failed to take photo of.

Didn't bought alot of stuffs at Jatujak though. Guess its weird to shop with guy and he can't simply walk that much. He even mentioned its worst than his road march!

 At Papong

Dinner

After which, we headed to a pub for a little drink.

Day 4, we had out usual breakfast, rested a while in our hotel room and then Jof brought us over to a small Japanese Town for lunch.

For their awesome ramen which I forgotten to take photo of. I think I was too famished!

And afterwhich, to a cozy cafe for their afternoon teas/ deserts.

Really wish they have a store in Singapore! All of them taste really good!

Jof ordered 2 of these chestnut desert!

Cheesecake <3

Their popular melon desert!

Able to guess what lies inside the floral pouch?

My peach tea! How adorable right?

Brownie

Sok Gin said I looked really happy in this picture! How can I not be when the photographer failed to take my picture after the count of 3! He counted all the way to 6! Agrh!

And after which to Siam Paragon!

And with the ultra vain guy with his new haircut!

My last day at BKK we headed back to Platinum again to get more buys.

On Tuk-Tuk! Actually its around the same price as a cab. Just a tourist experience I thought it would be fun!

Day View

And night view from the hotel room

And back to Singapore!

I think I had controlled the limit of my spending. Self-praise, okay la, for the entire trip plus the hotel room I think its rather alright spending!

And after a few days back in Singapore, I felt a slight discomfort on my right kneecap. I wonder is it due to the excessive walking in Thai or because I overly-exerted myself when I came back to Singapore. One thing for sure, I have no choice but to admit that I'm no longer Young! Seen a doctor today and he prescribed 3 bags of medication for my joints.  No running for a week, thats what he said.
