Got up early in the morning to meet Joffre at my place MRT. I do not remember when was the last time I woke up before 9 (except for school). This holiday really does makes me become lazier! Anyway, we took a train, a bus and a ferry to arrive to our destination. Its definitely a long journey! Something happened when we were at the foodcourt while we were having our breakfast before taking the ferry ride, shan't go on details onto that. Just my luck, I would say!
Embarking our journey:
The ferry ride which cost us $2.50 each. Pretty affordable I would say.
Something hilarious. We actually asked this auntie to take a picture for us, and after she took finished the photo, she actually commented that our picture looks dark. But when I took my phone from her, I saw this image in my phone. It turns out, she didn't actually capture a shot of us, but herself. Guess she was too quick to flip over my phone. This shot turns out to be our secret joke of the day, we couldn't stop laughing when we saw this photo. Sorry auntie, it was nice of her. But we just couldn't help ourselves.
Thus we took our picture ourselves. Didn't turn out to be as bad too.
And we reached!
The whole lots of bicycles for us to choose from
And here are our picks. As usual, I had to tandem with Joffre.
It was really sunny and humid on that day
And this guy secretly confessed to me that he actually deliberately made me fell on our previous trip. Agrh! But then again, I had to admit his skills are pretty good. Most importantly, he actually allows me not to pedal when I'm tired and during moments for which I couldn't keep up to his pace. Haha.
We headed over to Chek Jawa again as our stamina were failing (guess its because of age).
Map of Ubin
Basically for Chek Jawa, we had to park our bicycle and set our journey on foot
We caught sight on a family of wild boars
Beautiful serenity
We left the island after spending 4-5 hours in there. Just imagine how much we had worked out.
Based on our past experiences, we brought extra clothings to change and took a quick shower over at Ubin before heading out to have our dinner.
While waiting for Joffre to shop for his boots to bring over to his upcoming study trip. We don't look like we just got back from Ubin right? (beside the bare skin) Haha.
So SG reserved seats a Kushinbo at Suntec as there are a wider variety of food compared to the other outlets.
Our favourite: the teapot soup (we called it ourselves)
Wide variety of drinks to choose from: soft drinks, syrups, tea, coffees
And because we made a dinner reservation, we had each a serving of free lobster (we didn't know about this deal in advance). So, lucky us!
The desert platters I picked out
This guy was feeling unwell after cycling, he didn't ate much for dinner (so did we, guess its due to the intensive cycling which affect out appetites). He was secretly grumbling that the reason as to why he was feeling sick was because of Me (for he had to cycle the weight of 2)! Haha. Oh well! How mean! And he actually commented that I talked alot on that day, much of lamenting; about how hot the weather is, how much my butt hurts, the bruises I had etc. At least I'm much better than him okay, last year when I was in Thailand, he actually said that he couldn't feel his legs when we were at Chatuchak. Its merely the same amount of time we took at Ubin cycling compared to walking at Chatuchak?!
Unlike the other Ubin trips, we embarked our journey without Jerry who is now enjoying himself in Australia. Soon, it will be Joffre's turn. I guess this would be our last Ubin trip. There are actually much more photos that were taken but its with SG who was the photographer of the day. But if one would want to wait for her to upload the pictures, you really gotta slowly wait! So I ended the trip with just 7 bruises without any mosquito bites. Phew! Bruises are common for me, and no I didn't fell. It just appears to be on my body. During my daily life, its also common that I have bruises from (I dunno where?). Muddleheaded indeed.
